Type Locality and Naming

Alluvium with no official name, but "Fm" added here for database-linking purposes.


Lithology and Thickness

Alluvium deposits. These represent two to three cycles of valley-fill deposits or alluvium which were subsequently cut or eroded by the river leaving the alluvium as perched, detached, lenticular or liner outcrops at different levels on either sides of the valleys. These are broadly classified into an older alluvium and a newer alluvium, the former occupying higher levels being oxidized. Its thickness varies from place to place.
